Amisk Community School

Amisk Community School (ACS) is led by a nine member management team. The team sees its members as experts in their own right as uniquely important sources of knowledge, experience and wisdom.

The tasks of school administration have been distributed amongst the nine team members who meet regularly to solve problems, set policy, and manage the daily affairs of the school.

This distributed form of leadership creates an atmosphere of shared purpose, teamwork, and respect where leadership becomes a process of realizing and energizing rather than one of controlling and regulating.
