Tribal Chiefs Education Foundation provides support and advisory services to the following 6 First Nations in Northeastern Alberta; Beaver Lake Cree Nation, Cold Lake First Nations, Frog Lake First Nation, Heart Lake First Nation, Kehewin Cree Nation, and Whitefish Lake First Nation #128
The purpose of Tribal Chiefs Education Foundation (TCEF) is to provide education advisory services, facilitate regional education program initiatives, administer tuition agreements between members and provincial school boards, and ensure educational programs reflect member First Nations ' needs.
It is our mandate to:
- Uphold and respect Treaty No. 6
- Serve Member First Nation 's program and advisory needs pertaining to education, training and development services
- Develop ways in which the regional education program needs of Member First Nations can be met
- Provide mechanisms for Member First Nations to jointly participate in educational programming initiatives
- Provide efficient and effective service by standardizing accounting processes, policies and procedures and other organizational and management operations
- Evaluate regional programming initiatives to ensure Member First Nations educational needs are being met
